More House

Situated within the Queensgate Conservation Area of the Royal Borough of Kensington and Chelsea, More House occupies a distinguished position opposite the Natural History Museum. The site comprises three interlinked period townhouses and a rear mews building, set within a refined heritage setting.

The brief called for the extensive refurbishment and extension of this unlisted property, with strategic updates to its façade and a complete reconfiguration of the internal layout.

The result is a high-quality building that offers premium student residential accommodation and generous communal spaces for study, socialising and cooking.

Outside of term time, More House is able to function flexibly as a hotel, responding to seasonal demand and maximising the building’s potential year-round.

Carefully planned internal courtyards introduce natural light and long views into the heart of the building, supported by high-quality façades, soft landscaping and commissioned artworks developed in collaboration with local student artists.

Together, these elements support wellbeing, creativity and a sense of belonging for all who use the space.
